Sangeetika Music Society®

Sangeetika Music Society was established in the year 2009 by Pandit Keshab Kanti
Chowdhury, a renowned Tabla Exponent and Percussionist to preserve traditional
values of our music and culture and the legacy of his legendary Guru the Great
Tabla Wizard late Ustad Chhamma Khan of Delhi Gharana. The registered body is
working in the field of promotion of Indian classical music (Vocal, instrumental,
Ethnic Indian percussions) and conducts classroom training for children and young
boys and girls under Guru-Shishya Parampara, apart from Pandit Chowdhury’s
innovations being presented to the audience from time to time.

Maestro Chowdhury is one of those artistes who has not only performed around the world but has also contributed to the growth and continuity of Hindustani Classical music as a teacher. His students form an international community across Russia, U.S.A, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Africa etc. So he established
Sangeetika Music Society in Delhi to train and share his lifelong experiences in
percussion music with the younger generation under this banner. Sangeetika organizes concerts and Grand symphony Orchestras from time to time
and encourages its students for participation in the same. The society also
encourages its students for examination.

Testimonials

This music school is fabulously awasome! I have seen what it has instilled in one of my academic student. With teaching music it develops in students attitudes such as being principled, being courageous, being open-minded in order to have a balanced life.
- Salima H

"Keshab sir is a magician . The way his hands roll on drums and Tabla is phenomenal. Not only musician he is very well traveled and well read in his subject.
As a teacher, Keshab Guruji assess the student and with love and compassion encourages to learn. His pedagogy  is such, a student does not even realize when he starts performing difficult compositions with ease.

It is a blessing to have a Guru like him." - Jay Shankar Makar
